BLOCKSIZE Founding Member of German Bitcoin Association
by Marketing Team
Last week, the German Bitcoin Association (BTCBV, Bitcoin Bundesverband) was founded in Berlin at Bundestag, the German parliament. The BTCBV represents the interests of Bitcoin companies in Germany and the EU and strives to play an active role in the political discourse surrounding Bitcoin. The association promotes the development of networks within the Bitcoin community and creates opportunities for professional exchange. Through targeted measures, BTCBV strives to influence the legal framework in the Bitcoin sector and shape its development towards it’s main three foundational ambitions: the right to self-custody, remain a friendly tax regime and embrace innovations like the lightning network.
“BLOCKSIZE is a seasoned blockchain infrastructure provider and Bitcoin pioneer that is keen to support the BTCBV from the outset,” said Christoph Impekoven, Founder at BLOCKSIZE, commenting on the membership. “The collaboration of many stakeholders, coordinated by the BTCBV, will allow the community to have a strong voice in the shaping of the rapidly changing world of decentralized finance.”
