Evidence of Best Execution in Crypto and Tokenized Stocks.

Crypto has no consolidated tape, so a fill can only be judged against the market as a whole. Blocksize aggregates prices from 70+ exchanges into one benchmark per pair and validates it on-chain in eight oracle networks. Every fill can be measured against that benchmark, in real time or after the fact.

Why one exchange is not enough

A single exchange shows its own order book. In a Blocksize study of 23 exchanges, even the deepest venues sat within market-wide fair value only about 25% of the time, and diverged by 10+ bps in stress. A fill checked against one venue is checked against a partial view. You can't judge a fill against one exchange.

Real-time VWAP

The market price as trades happen, volume-weighted across all accepted venues. The live benchmark for every fill.

Real-time VWAP

Bid/ask

What the whole market buys and sells at right now, built from top-of-book quotes. The reference for slippage and spread.

Bid/ask

30-minute closes

A closing price every thirty minutes, published five seconds after the interval. A fixed reference for reviews and reports.

30-minute closes

Tokenized stocks

One bid and ask per stock across issuers and exchanges, priced 24/7. The same check for tokenized stock fills.

Tokenized stocks

Validated on-chain. Delivered off-chain.

Every price Blocksize publishes into oracle networks is checked by independent node operators before it is accepted. The same feeds are delivered off-chain through one API.

Benchmark your fills against the whole market

Pull the real-time VWAP and the aggregated bid/ask at the timestamp of each fill, over WebSocket or REST, and compare. For periodic reviews, the 30-minute close gives one fixed reference per interval. The methodology for every feed is published, with the inclusion and exclusion rules for venues, so the benchmark can be explained in a review. MiFID II Article 27 asks for all sufficient steps, MiCA Article 78 for all necessary steps. The benchmark is the price input to that process; the process and its documentation stay with the firm.

Execution Quality in Crypto: How to Know You Got a Fair Price

Every firm that executes in crypto should be able to answer one question after every trade: was that a fair price? Most can't, because there is no consolidated tape and no official reference to measure a fill against. This article covers what the MiFID II and FINRA definitions actually require, why measuring against your own liquidity provider proves nothing, how pre-trade and post-trade benchmarks work, why the best displayed price is not the executable price, and where real-time market data changes the answer.

What Is Price Accuracy in Crypto? The Accuracy Triangle Explained

In a market without a consolidated tape, "the price" is an estimate, and different sources produce different estimates at the same moment. This article defines price accuracy, introduces the Accuracy Triangle of breadth, depth and latency, shows how to measure deviation in basis points, and walks through two documented failures, Pyth in 2021 and Mango Markets in 2022, to show which side of the triangle broke.

Real-Time Crypto Data Aggregation: How It Works

Every provider claims real-time data. Almost none explain what it means when the same asset trades on seventy exchanges at once, each with its own format, its own limits and its own clock. This article walks through the engineering: what a single exchange feed actually sends, why seventy of them don't simply add up, how much reported volume is real, which filters remove bad prints and drifting venues, and why the fastest price is never the most complete one.

Best execution FAQ

Yes, as the price input to the firm's own process. The feeds give one aggregated benchmark per pair with a published methodology. Whether a review meets MiFID II Article 27 or MiCA Article 78 is decided by the firm and its advisers.

Real-time VWAP and bid/ask update with sub-250 ms latency over WebSocket.

70+ centralised and decentralised exchanges. The inclusion and exclusion rules are in the published methodology; venues that drift from the market are excluded.

VWAP and bid/ask snapshots across all pairs. The depth depends on the plan, see Pricing.

Yes. The RWA feeds give one bid and ask per tokenized stock, gold and silver, 24/7, on the same endpoints.
